2019 Sydney Insight Forum - November 22

Description

The Page Society’s 4th Annual Australian Insight Forum will be held in Sydney on Friday, 22 November.

This year’s Insight Forum will be themed around Page’s recent thought leadership report The CCO as Pacesetter, Page’s major research project on the evolving role of the CCO and we will again be joined by guests from the United States and Australian Page members who will share insights from their companies including Rio Tinto, ANZ, AGL and Transurban.

In The CCO as Pacesetter, Page has identified that CCOs are focusing on four dimensions of leadership – CommTech, brand stewardship, corporate culture and societal value creation. To make this work more actionable for members, the report explores Progression Paths to offer concrete guidance on how to drive transformation in ways that are now essential to CCO leadership.

In addition to our Australian presenters, our US guests will be Gary Sheffer, Sherry Scott and Peter Debreceny.  Gary was formerly Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs at GE having led the function under two CEOs – Jack Welch and Jeff Immelt.  Having retired from GE in 2015, Gary is now the Sandra R. Frazier Professor of Public Relations at Boston University.  Sherry Scott is the President of Gagan McDonald, a Chicago-based consulting firm focussed on how culture change and employee engagement drive business performance and transformation.  Sherry was also the founding Chair of Page Up.  Peter is Vice-President International at Page having been formerly Vice President Corporate Relations at Allstate Insurance Company and is well known to Page members in Australia.
